On a recent prayer hike I was reminded of an important lesson in my journey with God.
In John 15:1-2 Jesus says he is the vine and God is the gardener. In response to this scripture a mentor told me to pray, “God garden me.”
As I’ve stepped into this semester, the ‘garden me’ prayer has been a frequent one. It is a prayer of trust in God’s wisdom in the pruning, fertilizing, and watering of our lives. When was the last time you invited God to do this gardening work in your life?
